Had a stone hut as base camp. We got there driving up a dried river bed for hrs on end in an old huge jacked up Russian military truck. It was a rough ride. Then at about 4am every morning we would drive up the river some more an hr and start a pretty much straight up climb. It would take about 5 hrs to get into sheep heights.

Actually there was a ton of Grizz sign around. Saw lots of tracks and scat. The bears there are bit smaller than ours though. We hiked a lot in the dark as we didn't have long days and the hikes were brutal long

It looks like the toughest climb I could ever imagine. Has to be up there as one of the hardest of all from the photos you posted. Love the description of the truck and the ride in. Must be an awesome hunt. What an incredible animal. Have to say congrats btw.

Makes me remember why I don't sheep hunt. I would be crying like a little kid at those heights lol. I like ground level.

The air got thin and I caught myself sipping the air. It was real weird. It wasn't like feeling O2 deprived when you stop breathing but your breathing would go faster and for some reason I would breath with like I was sipping a hot chocolate. It was real strange and would only last a min. or 2 and then be fine

I finally got some work on my Tur and got it finished a few weeks ago with a friend of mine that helped me out.
It was fun seeing it put together and enjoyed being a part of it. I think it looks pretty good on the wall!!

Never seen this thread before. That is the wildest looking critter I've ever seen. Congrats on the adventure and the trophy.

Wow. That is some hard hunting. Wonderful pics. Congrats on the animal. You seem to have good luck, and skill I'm sure, with some good animals. Still remember that whitetail. Thanks for sharing

Well I got a tag this year so you better get too it! I have some time this year to get out so I may have to give it a go and see if I can find another decent ram. My horseshoes are running out so who knows.
