Default Flooding.. and fishing this weekend.

hi,

So southern Alberta is mostly underwater today, and it is expected to get worse.

Myself and some friends had planned to go fish Clear Lake (east of Stavley/Claresholm), camping out overnight Saturday and fishing all Sunday.

Because of the rain though, this isn't looking like such a great idea. So we're stuck now, wondering where we should go?

Can anyone recommend a lake with shore fishing, near Calgary? Perhaps a couple hours in whatever direction.

Thank you, and, hope you aren't affected by the flooding!

I can't see why Clear would be overly affected by the flooding.
You have Pine Coulee on the other side of Stavely.
Pike minimum size is however, a little restrictive at Clear

Wouldn't this be affected by the heavy rains as well? It's kind of in ground zero lol

Default Travers

Me and my dad are towing the trailer to little bow pp today. When he went down to snatch a spot yesterday he said the water was as clear as a bell and at summer levels.

Hope this helps
