Just getting into tree stands this year, and was wondering about calling from up high in the stand .How about rattling. or should this be done on the ground.

Rattling and calling from treestands works. Just make sure you quit calling or rattling when the deer walks within sight of your location.

The method 35 whelen described works well too but again quit when the deer is in sight. From a distance the deer can not figure out that the sound comes from up high but that changes the moment they get closer to your set up.

An additional tip. When you finish your rattling session quickly pick up your bow/gun and get ready to shoot, some bucks come in fast to rattling.

Good luck.
