Default Diefenbaker lake, Sask

Just booked my suite in Elbow and going to spend the 3 full days fishing at the end of June on Diefenbaker lake. I'm super excited and can't wait till I leave.

It has been 10years since I have been there, and the last time i never got any fishing done just sailing with my dad. This trip is only fishing for the monsters.

Last time I was in Elbow the word 'excited' didn't exactly come to mind...But the fishing should more than make up for it! Have Fun.

Bowfin, this is where i'm staying. it's between the town and the lake.

http://www.elbowsunsetsuites.ca/sunsetsuites.htm

nothing fancy but I don't plan to spend much time there, apparently it's only about 5years old and backs on to the lake. The lady I talked to said they have a big parking lot for trucks with boats. The harbour golf course also has little cabin to rent but they where all booked. They are next to the marina.

Jack. the town is fun. The last time i was there they had miny golf, what a blast. This trip i'm more excited about getting on the lake and trying for some big Walleyes, pike or rainbows. Maybe even some lakers.

The world record rainbow trout was caught at Diefenbaker. Some huge fish of all types in there.

Burbotman I read that there where 400,000 rainbows that got loose in 2000 in the lake and the average size was 4 - 6lbs, and that they where all sterile. Raised for slaughter.

Default Got vetoed going to Tobin Lake.

Looks like I got vetoed. My buddy and his wife want to go to Tobin lake instead, so I will have to cancell the motel rooms in elbow after they book at Tobin lake resort. Oh well maybe next year I will make it to Diefenbaker.
