Default Bighorn, Blackstone, Shunda, Ram rivers

Going out one last time Monday night until Wednesday night fly fishing up in these rivers, what fly is best used this time of year, regs say rivers up there close on the 31st of October, has anyone been out there this summer or fall yet? thankyou for any info

Did the blackstone last weekend.
It was a bit slow.
The cutts I was catching was on nymphs and the bulls weren't too bad on streamers.
Don't think I caught anything on a dry.

This time of the year on them bodys of water u will have to drift fish until later in the afternoon i am guessing 230-3 pm.........stimualtors work good in orange,brown or yellow or use a small bead head in light brown to a darker color and u will do alright be patient i have cast up to 20 spots before the fish came up to take my fly.......i will be out that way the following monday

At this time of year nymphs and streamers.

If the light is right, you can even see the whitefish rooting around for nymphs in the small riffles.

I agree with the nymphs this time of the year but don't exclude drys as the last couple hours before dark on a sunny day u will see them rise and catch them on a dry...........i don't think shawn is after whites he is after trout and the streamer will work on the bulls.........i find in late fall i do alot of indicator fishing and do very well but the key is don't go big usually a #12.............i never fish on small rivers with anything but a dry line switching up from a dry to a indicator...........bigger river is diffrent were i will go to a sink tip with diffrent grain heads depending on the body of water

shawn will like the BWO hatch because they hatch on the overcast days in midday.
