So some friends and I were at PCR yesterday and in totally be caught somewhere in the range of 60 total.
One interesting on was a Walleye that deepthroated a hook, I though I got it out in time/with enough care and returned him to the water and he swam away "fairly" healthy looking, but a couple minuted later the poor guy floats to the surface in the putrid green/blue/white slimy crap that was building up over the entire water surface. Anyhow that's the sad part of the story, from here we are watching this fish drifting away reflecting over how we could have done better, we start back into fishing and probably moments after we've all looked away....
BBBBBLLLLLLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMMOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOO
This huge explosion of water, and the fish is gone......
We nearly crapped our pants I'm sure when the pike hit it. The only reason we think it's a Pike was earlier in the day one of my comrades while reeling in his walleye notice some monster come shooting out of the darkness after the distressed walleye on the hook, but it never took that one. Thanks god since he only had a mono Pickerel rig setup on at the time.
By the end of the say I managed to land the only Pike of the day out of 60 something walleyes, but never did find out about the super pike that ate the walleye.
