Default Please give me an overview of tuning

Good day!
I am looking to put some time into tuning my bow for hunting season, probably should have started earlier but better late than never.
Bow is a APA M7 shooting Gold Tip XT hunters 340's groups pretty good.

Anyways, I have done some reading and think I have things figured but wanted to double check. Going to go through the following steps:
1- Have bow spec tuned.
2 - Paper tune bow at a few different distances.
3- Walk back tune from 20 - 70 yards
4 - broadhead tune from 20 - at least 50

Practice, practice, practice. I have access to butts and 3d targets out to 70 yards so I will be spending some time there that's for sure!!

Are these the major steps to follow or am I missing something?

About covers it but just paper tune or walk back can get you tearing hair out..start with 100% spec tune...ATA...BH ..Cam timing...draw length, draw weight...check for cam lean /limb twist, micro cracks etc...than center shot rest, sights etc...

Tune Cam timing at full draw...

Can be done with APA "Cam Lock" but a press would be faster

once that is done than its just fine tuning set up...rest, spine, etc

Right steps. Right order. So long as your string is settled, get after it.

Walk back tuning at 70 might be difficult, unless you have a 6 foot tall backstop. I bottom out at 45. but I don't like putting my POI too close to the top, just in case of a mosquito-induced flyer. if you're going to see a problem you will see it by 45, but if you can keep going out to 70 it will give you more confidence.

If you get the first two right, the last two go quickly. A properly set up bow rarely needs a lot of adjusting in walk back tuning. My version of broadhead tuning is shooting different heads till I find one that hit with my field tips. I found 3/5 this year. Just make sure you spin test each broadhead/arrow combo.

340's on a 70 lb (?) speed bow might be borderline underspined, depending on draw length (?)

When bow hunting do we have to do everything an Olympic archer does to his bow?? Like If I can get my shots into a 2.5 in circle consistent is that good or should I be tuning my bow to get Robinhoods all the time??

Robin Hoods are great...but expensive...but yes ...

I tell shooters that it doesnt matter where in the heart they hit them!!!

But...
IMHO its our obligation to shoot to the best of our ability...more so than olympic paper targets...

For me it is more about confidence in my equipment and knowing that is has been set up to the best of my abilities and if I do my part there should be no problems. When the moment of truth arrives and the bull of my dreams is standing 35 yards away and slightly quartering I don't want to be second guessing my gear.

I want the arrows flying out of my bow true to give that arrow the best chance of a clean and quick kill. Yes small groups and even the odd robin hood are fun but my goal is an arrow flying perfectly at the point of impact.
