Arrow who let a whitetail doe get away with an arrow in her back near arbutus road?

...well whoever let that doe get away with your arrow/bolt in her back she is done now(not implying that they are from this forum). South on range road 6-3 arbutus road last night on some crown land. After I shot the doe I walked up to it and saw an orange tip sticking out of her mid back. I removed it to find this puss coated stinking tip. She hangs in my garage now. the rest of the tip and shaft must had snapped off outside the animal it was not in the ribcage as I had suspected.

Good of you to put her down and for tagging her but I'd be thinking twice about eating her... if thats what you are thinking.
That infection could involve more than just the local area.
She might have been well on her way to a death from sepsis.
I'd think about writing that one off as a total loss if I was you.

If you call F&W they will probably issue you a new tag.

Are you suggesting that this hunter let the deer get away on purpose? While unfortunate the animal had to go through this, highly unlikely the hunter purposely took an non-lethal shot.
