Aaaaand that's it...
Winter Classic cancelled.
SOB's can all go to hell. The entire season won't be far behind..
I sure hope fans everywhere can unite and boy-cot at least one home game in every rink when they do come back.

Why so upset about a game in Michigan being cancelled? And I would suggest players could care less. They weren't going to be paid extra to play it. It's detroit and league that suffer. As a fan I could care less. I wasn't going.

If I could count how many home games I have boycotted over the years........
I usually called "can't afford to go" but boycott sounds good too.

The game itself I couldn't care less about. But what I absolutely LOVED and look forward to since it started was the HBO 24/7 special that leads up to the game. Was really looking forward to this years teams. I find that series more entertaining than the playoffs.

I have been boycotting them since the last one. I would like to be a fly on the wall when and if they do come back. Close your eyes and try to envision this, both teams come out on the ice and there is not one fan in the whole arena. The only people there are the people that work there. Damn that would be funny.

I could tolerate a lockout if Bettman would meet the players. Thats what ****es me off, screw the season. Ive been watching NFL and AHL every weekend, and I'm content.

I quit watching the Narcissist Hockey League after the last strike too.
More ice time for the guys that are there for the same reasons I am...they love the game.
Well at least we won't be faced with the guilt and shame of forcing a bunch on millionaires to play in an old arena now... poor lambs.

Boycotting one game wouldn't accomplish a blasted thing. The parties on both sides would still be laughing all the way to the bank, while openly wishing and scheming for more.
They never did get much money from me, so I can't change much, but the fans that do lay out their dough for NHL can only get noticed by not spending, and doing so in large numbers.

For the money I pay to keep my son playing (AAA Bantam) hockey, I have no time or interest in the NHL anyway for the most part. I don't usually go to an NHL game once every two years, and then only when a friend invites me to the company box. I honestly prefer the hockey my son plays, boys giving it all they have, with dreams still intact......sad when the real world wakes them up.
