If they are convicted it should be on the TV news with names and pics.

Wow... the residents of the "colonies" sure are prominent in this list.

I knew they had pig bosses, and cow bosses, but didn't know any of the colonies had fish bosses.

A new trend?

Exclamation

Let’s keep the racial remarks off this thread. (The 15 comments that were deleted above this post)
Thanks

Several of the buyers mentioned are known to Fish and Wildlife on past wildlife offenses. I guess they didn’t learn the first time around. Maybe it’s time the judge threw the book at them.

Thumbs up

Thanks for the names, Rockymtnx. Great post, and for keeping things objective.

Hope these poachers get sentences that fit their crime and send a strong message to prevent this from happening again.

Now if only the court would also disclose their honey holes at said lake locations. Just wishing.

OK... I got kinda lost. I thought this was a Star Wars reference...but now I get it. There were a number of Hutterites implicated in this by the looks of it?

http://www.cedrontech.com/hutterite....F337C6AA7E9100

They seemed to link up with some on this list. Is that thought.

Default St. Marys Res.

I caught the Raley Hutterite Colony with illegal nets thru the ice, it was after a snow storm and most roads where snowed in, they the Raley colony figured they where safe to set the nets it was mid January, I saw the nets and immeditaly left the lake and phoned Fish and Wildlife, met officer at a spot away from the colony and rode with the warden back to the illegal nets,.
To make a long story short, the colony was found guilty of netting out of season and fined, i did not have to go to court, but i did speak to the fish and game officer after the court case and was told the colony had received a big fine, i replyed by asking if they the hutterite colony had also lost there commercial netters lic. the fish and wildlife officer said no, and said the judge did not even ask if they had one, they do have a netters lic.

Not a bad little network. Looks like five Hutterite colonies were involved. And one subsistence harvester. Not to mention the moms.

Give them the max, $100,000 & 1 year per count and I believe it would make a difference. Probably won't happen though. Firstly they don't own any money and secondly it's just time. Time is money and taking the figure heads out COULD set an example. My glass is half full.

Loki610 and I stopped a guy from poaching any MORE fish this day last summer.....although he already for sure had one walleye (no retention this time of year) in his gator and at least 2 undersized pike.....this hog of a walleye got put back
