Remington bottom metal assembly

Changing a Remington 700 from a blind mag to a hinged floor plate. Can I use the mag box and follower from a 223 for a 243? Would it be better to use one from a 308?

The 223 mag set up will not work for a 243. You need a 243/308 etc. mag box, spring and follower.

Be sure and get one from a floorplate rifle, an ADL box is deeper.
