Default Trailer tires and hubs?

Can I put a 16" tire on a trailer had previously had 15" tires, the new tires are mounted on rims that have an 8 bolt pattern and the present hubs have a 5 bolt pattern.

There appears to be room for a larger tire but I'm worried that the rims might not fit on the trailer.

Thanks guys.

You would need to check the individual wheels/hubs for offset to see if the tires will clear the frame/fenderwells, as well as whether the tires will have clearance if the suspension bottoms out. As well the larger hubs may have been used on a larger axle, so the bearings may be larger.

Smile Thanks

It turns out that the same vendor has the exact size that is on the trailer now available. I'll just buy those.

good choice. 8 bolt will not fit a 5 bolt pattern. easiest as you say if you can replicate what you have. and radias vs bias is always a good choice
