Mid September elk hunt with bow/rifle wmu 522

Hi folks. Looking to hunt elk in wmu 522 this year, I've never hunted elk before but I'm extremely determined to get one, I plan on taking time off for a pre season scouting trip as I'm coming from cold lake, looking to try with a bow first and if unsuccessful try with a rifle if anyone would like to join or has any tips that would be greatly appreciated

Learn how to call, especially if your chasing them with a bow....then once you learn, use those skills sparingly (dont overcall). Good luck!
