Default A couple Salmon fishing pics

I made it out to Campbell River for a bit of Salmon fishing again this year. We had a great time as always and the fishing was pretty good as well. Here's a couple pics:

This one was quite a battle as a seal got a hold of it (check out the marks around the tail). I just about had to land them both but we eventually scared the seal off and got the net under the fish. What a way to end the day! The meat wasn't damaged at all but the fish was missing the other side of it's face.

Congrats on a successful trip Chet. I'm heading to Terrace in a couple weeks and hope to come back with some similar pictures.

You were fortunate to win the battle with the seal. A few years back I was fishing off of Ucluelet and hooked a small spring (probably around 10 - 12 lbs). I had it about 50 feet from the boat when it felt like it got off. Turns out that a sea lion had taken everything except the head. Looked pretty funny on the end of my line. We ended up having to pull in and head to a different area because he wouldn't stop following the boat.

The top one was 21 lbs and I didn't weigh the bottom one but I was thinking 23-24.
