On a more serious note, I'm assuming it has a white top on it so it isn't upgradable to the i-pilot. My guess would be somewhere around $600 or so.

How many volts is it? 24 or 36?
Are you throwing in batteries too or not?

I just picked up a 55 pound 54" i-pilot and mounted it Saturday, can't wait to use it.

It is just a powerdrive, not the V2, so no Ipilot. 24V. I just bought the new Terrova with Ipilot and installed on the boat last night. Can't wait to try out all new features with this one.

There is a way to modify a powerdrive to fit a powerdrive v2 ipilot setup. I think I seen a video on the net somewhere that will show you step by step what needs to be done for it to work.

Copied off the Minn Kota website.

Basically a gps enabled trolling motor run by a wireless remote control.

We talked to the guys at the fishin hole show and the Minn Kota reps were there and said it isn't possible.

No to say that some electronic junky didn't figure out a way to do it. They're sales reps, they want you to buy the new product.

Ya they said the same thing to us but all you have to do is follow the videos on the net and it can be done.

Like you mentioned, they are there to sell products, Just like a car salesman saying a certain vehicle can't get a lift package or a chip installed. They are all out there to make the sale.
