Default Out with the old, in with the new!

So I sold my maverick 12 ga. And have decided to buy a new savage mark II f and a scorpion rimfire scope! Can't wait to get it out and shoot it! Looking forward to whacking some gophers next spring! Anyone else have one of these?

I don't have a Savage but I have an old Lakefield MarkII (branded as a Sears). It's a pretty accurate rifle, even with the clunky old trigger. It's a lot of fun to shoot.

The action on the newer ones is essentially same as far as I know and I've read the trigger is much better than in the old days.

Bought the wife one a couple of years ago with out the scope (her preference) and I';ve seen her pound gophers up to 100 yrds away. Embarrising at times.
