Goodwin Lake Advice

I am heading up the old Conklin Trail road to Goodwin lake this coming weekend and was wondering if any of you local guys might be able to give me the heads up on ice conditions and any good fishing lies about Goodwin. I have been there for the last couple of years and seen some fairly good whites but they are fussy about the hooks I show them, some nice Jackfish though. Regards David.
