It was free range, just not Alberta

"This buck was killed in Edgar County, Illinois between Paris and Chrisman by a disabled Veteran Luke Brewster of Virginia. His close friend was hunting the buck and he came down and got a shot on him his first day on the hunt. The deer was 100% free range and legal after being investigated by the IDNR."

A girl killed a (rumored) 240" non typ near High Level, I'll hopefully have a chance to score it myself at an upcoming event in La Crete. Apparently the record non-typ by a female for Canada but I don't know where to find those stats.

I'm just assuming this is the one being referred to.
If not, this is still an awesome deer.

An amazing deer, especially for a young female hunter. Has it been officially scored yet and if so what did it score?

All I've heard is that it was around the 240" mark but I haven't heard that an official measurer has seen it yet. We're a pretty isolated community and the nearest B&C guy is 5 hours away.
I talked to her in March and she said she would like to bring it to our local fish and game club event on May 24th. If she does I'll be able to score it then.

Unless I’m mistaken, it has been officially scored already.

Most deer grow their biggest antlers between 4 and 8 years of age. Always exceptions.
