Default Blackfoot

Just getting itchy, looking ahead. For Blackfoot discharge permit--I'm only seeing the dates in late Oct. Just want to poke around for grouse with my boy come fall, but if cant get permit till end of Oct, kind of lose quite a bit of good hunting weather. Is it offered earlier, or am I missing something?

Those are last years dates, Around mid Aug they might post new dates. First course is usually the last Friday @ 7:30 pm and Saturday @ 2:30pm of Aug. Call the office at at 780-922-3293 around mid Aug if you need the course to get the dates. If you,ve already taken the orientation then you just need to call the office and arrange to meet them there. It may take a few calls to get a call back as they are extremely busy at that time of year.

just pop into the office and they can issue you a permit. I've got them at random times of the year.

No need to wait till they do specific dates.

Unless you need to take the safety orientation. It’s valid for 5 years I believe.
