Default Fish replica recommendations

I’m tossing around the idea of getting a replica made of a recent pike I caught. Looking for recommendations if any one has gone down this route.
I have length measurements & 3 girth measurements. Pike was 28.3lbs
Let me know if there is a go to company or a really solid local Albertan or Canadian taxidermy outfit that could do it.

Thanks

I haven't got one done yet, but I'd use advanced taxidermy out of Ontario.

Ben at Art of taxidermy, located in Lethbridge. He did an excellent job on the perch I brought him.

Be sure and send the taxi you use your pictures.
I’m amazed at how different the patterns and colors of fish of the same species can be.
I haven’t had a client keep a trophy in I dont know how long. Before releasing we take plenty of pictures from different directions and angles of just the fish to send to the taxi with the measurements so they can really nail it for you.
Back in the day when trophy’s were kept I think most taxi’s were going off of book pictures because by the time the frozen or salted fish got to them the true color was long gone.

I used Ben at Art of Taxidermy. No one has the attention to detail like him. Check out his webpage.

I have seen a lot of guys just buy a generic replica and put a large framed picture of their fish under it with a tag that has the date caught, length, girth etc details on it. Given what it now costs for a custom replica I can see this becoming more popular.

Not sure. That’s who they said did it. I was going to keep them in mind on my next one.

Ya you'll be paying in US dollars but hands down one of the best I have seen is Topnotch taxidermy in Brookings, South Dakota. I have 3 perch and a lake Winnipeg greenback getting done there.

My Laker I caught 2 winters ago was a memory fish for me and I called Advanced taxidermy one Ontario. They took my measurements, weight, pictures and delivered an awesome replica. Highly recommend these guys
