Default Hunting blind for an ice shelter

Does anybody use a hunting blind for an ice fishing hut?

Yes, but it did not work so good.

Screen windows and no skirt hamper keeping warm , but better than nothing.

I did for quite a while before I got an ice tent. mine had the ability to zip the windows closed, and I just piled snow around the bottom to seal it. Not as good as a purpose built ice tent, but much better than just standing on the ice and let me see down the hole fairly well.

I duct taped my windows shut, then piled snow around bottom. If it was deeper snow, I even went as far as cutting an outline in the snow then dropped the tent inside so it was below snow surface line. Worked well.

Yep, that's what I use. 2 for 1! I find it works great with snow piled up around the edges. I'd rather spend the money on other toys than buy a dedicated ice tent that I can't shoot deer out of during hunting season.

I used a one man pop up blind. Worked great. The one I had closed up real good, black inside and had the built in chair.
