Default Buck Lake - shore fishing

Heading to Buck Lake with kids tomorrow, just wondering if there are good spot to fish along shore and be successful on. We don't have boat, shore fishing is our only option.

Very little shore fishing opportunity at South Buck. I would try Pigeon Lake at the west end near the boat launch at least you can cast from shore and reach water deep enough that holds fish you can catch. Can't keep any walleye unless you have tags though..

Thanks for the information. Can anyone please provide some guidance where to go near Edmonton (100 to 150 km range) for fishing from the shoreline and keep the fish. Already been to Buffalo lake, are there any lake you can name.

Wizard lake (50 km from Edmonton) has great shore fishing right in front of the Jubilee Park on the NE end of the lake. 3 feet off of shore it is 17 to 25 feet deep. Lots of small pike with the occasional bigger keeper size.

Weeds won't be a problem at Wizard on the NE side of the lake in front of Jubilee.
Battle from shore is more challenging. Right at the boat launch might be a good spot to cast from the dock.
