On deck? Or when they are filling the brailers at unload?

If I owned or part-owned the "Ramblin Rose" I think I would have fired the Captain for being SO far out on his count. He thought he had about 35000lbs of crab and only had 13000! Makes you wonder how he could be so far out without being completely incompetent.

That definitely seems like a nice sized sturgeon. Was that a BC white sturgeon or a lake Sturgeon?

Of the 4 rainbows, I kept the two smallest one (in the picture, 15" & 19") and let the other two big ones go (23" and 23.5"). Here are pics of the trouts I kept and one of the pikes.

Going to be heading out again tommorow morning, hope everyone else had a great time on opening week.
If what your saying is that you were fishing alone, and that you kept 2 trout from the Bow river then im afraid you were poaching. The Regs state: Trout limit 1 under 35cm all trout over 35cm must be released. 35cm is 13.8 inches so im afraid all the trout you caught were illegal to keep and should have been released, not to mention you should have only keep one. If there is some misunderstanding please clarify, hope i didnt read this wrong.

Default No tar and feather?

Where's all the angst and yelling? We have a poacher on this thread with pictures! Shouldn't we at least tar and feather him? Or threaten to beat him to a pulp next time we see him?

Hmmm... the silence in unnerving.

Yes, below Bassano there's a 2 trout limit (over 35 cm), but it's closed until mid June. The only open waters on the Bow have zero Rainbow retention or a limit of 1 (certain sections) under 35 cm.

Aw, why do you have to go and be so reasonable...

Walleyed: Although technically you weren't the target of my post, I apologize for the mistake. I owe you a beer.

As for the pic some pages back of a group of people of one nationality (maybe) fishing from shore,, well in my experience it is just a lot of people fishing, big deal, where's the poaching?,, if people make very broad assumptions, it can backfire mighty quick and were you counting the fish they caught? Maybe that's why you weren't catching any yourself. Back in the day at MacGreg, it would be shoulder to shoulder the whole length of the causeway to Lomond or Vulcan,, so what,???, Italians, Hungarians, Pollacks like me and Canucks and kids and rednecks and farmers and everything in between.

As for tar and feathering you, only at the next AOF poachers Ball (joking)

Default Guilty by association.

Has poached eggs for breakfast this morning. Didn't even suspect a thing until my neighbour came by and said his chickens stopped laying eggs... then my nephew piped up and said "wasn't me" before I even questioned him.
