Default I Think I am In Love!

Arrived home yesterday from hernia surgery in Edmonton to discover a gun I recently purchased had arrived in my absence. This is an untouched, unaltered 100% original 1964 Winchester Model 12 Pigeon Grade Trap with 3 pin Duckbill Rib ...I think I am in

Just don't hug or squeeze it too tight and pop some sutures!
You would have lots of explaining to do.....

I like that.
Not enough pumps on the trap line.

That's sweet bud, I pop over one day and have a look, maybe you will even let me fondle it a bit makes my model 12 look pretty ordinary

That is one nice piece of lumber. One of our senior club members has a few very high end Winchester shotguns, some unfired in the box, that he purchased from the Winchester rep, many years ago.

gorgeous!

Question if you know-I've shot a High Standard shotgun that has what looks like an identical receiver. VERY VERY slick, nice operating gun for sure. Zero issues. Wondering what the connection might be?

Default Update mfg date corrected

It was brought to my attention by a few people on another site I had posted an incorrect date of MFG and after some searching it would appear that is the case based on George Madis' book and Winchesters' website. The gun was made in 1961 not 1964 as originally posted. I have corrected and updated the thread accordingly.

Honestly I have no idea? I know nothing about High Standard shotguns other than I believe I have read they were the same manufacturer as JC Higgins which were sold by Sears if memory serves? There are others here like Cat that would probably be more knowledgeable on the subject.

Nice gun, but pre 64 Winchester was all great. Wood is fantastic on it. I just don't see any value post 64 or any of these new plastic guns most are making.
