Nope, thats what the tuning does stacking the hair very carefully really helps. One in three run true by them selves. If im tying all the time I can get to maybe three of four. To a point high speeds can spin all but the best ties. Fast being 4-7mph.

here is what i use for Brook Trout and Rainbow

spin cast

12 inches to 24"
100fol to 130 feet of line
1.7 mph to 3.2

lots of S turns
12fow to 30fow
watch the rod tip if it changes set hook or feed and set hook

also works with a threaded worm on a straight hook if allowed

Fly rod with Green Spratley ripping fullsink or sinking tip or not ripping

vary speed

Trolling a bead head hares ear at a slow-medium kick pace (guessing 2-3 kmh max), if your in a kick boat on still waters. This has landed me many nice bows, some of which spooled me out if I was using the ultralight spin set up. No stopping, just pull out 100 yards of line and gone while I sit there with a dumb founded look on my face. And if I increase the drag, snap goes the line.
It's a humbling experience.

Cool

For those from the old school 1meter per second =1, 3 mph roughly. Use a chessie, from bow to stern timed. Convert length of craft into meters, easy math .
