Default Canada day long weekend camping and shooting, NEED A PLACE!

First time ever posting here.
Not sure if this belongs here (admins feel free to move)

I'm looking to do some tent camping this Canada day long weekend. Going from Edmonton to Calgary on June 30 (Saturday) then leaving Calgary Sunday and hope to find a spot around the Drumheller/Badlands area to pop the tent for a couple nights (Sunday & monday night)

We've been looking and just about every campsite is fully booked except for the provinal ones but they are first come first serve.

Wondering if anyone knows of some crown land that would be good for a couple nights of tenting, and possibly an area to plink a few of my firearms. Just an sks and a couple shotguns, I am a responsible camper/ shooter, leave nothing behind, safety first. etc.

Even if someone owns a bit of land out there, I wouldnt be opposed to sliding them a couple bucks for their troubles. Other than a few hours of pot shots you'd never know we where there. Just myself, my wife, young daughter, and our dog (he's quiet).

Also looking a for a similar set up for shooting around the Edmonton area year round though. If a farmer or something has a birm or a range set up that theyd be willing to share (for a fee of course)

Please let me know if anyone can help,

Thanks!

Edson's The Longest Mile range. Camping is not allowed on-site, but there are many places to camp on the logging road that the range is on. Many people do it.

Starland Recreation Area is a nice spot near Drumheller on the Red Deer River. First come, first serve only. Not sure about any shooting areas though.

I know a place you can camp and shoot west of Edmonton. I shoot long distance there, well known by good people. Some yahoos but when I’m there and meet others that use it, good guys. PM me and I’ll give you directions to it.
