Default What's with all the praise for the NEW cz rimfire?

I have never shot rimfire, never had the interest. Lately I have found the need to improve my off hand shooting. I started looking for a rimfire to use as a trainer. I was thinking cz or savage mk ii. All the reviews for the cz are great except the trigger . Savage reviews are typical savage. Not great but it shoots.
I expected the cz to feel good. It didn't, bolt was rough, the clip was crap, rough and finicky. So I handled another one crap again. I'm not one of those guys who thinks plastic clips are bad. I generally like them but not this one. I have never herd any of the guys who bash those plastic tikka clips say anything negative about the cz. What's up with that? I ended up going with a savage varmint barrel laminate stock. Going to put some glass on it still be cheaper than the cz and will have a better trigger.
Looking forward too seeing what kind of groups this rig will produce.
Then how horrable my off hand groups will be.

I loved both my CZ rimfires. Both are tack drivers. I had a Savage, it was the first and last Savage I'll ever own. The CZ trigger, grouping and deal were much better than the Savage as far as I'm concerned.

I'm only speaking of the 455 I don't have experience with the 452.
Im sure the 455 shoots it's just not the fit and finish I was expecting with all the fans cz has.

I have had both Cz and Savage .17 hmrs and I still have my Cz's. All things being equal and they are not I love my Cz's. My safe is full of mostly CZ rifles, both conventional and tactical. Fanboy I guess, but they are good value for the money, have excellent accuracy and have lovely wood. To each their own I guess.

I have no experience with the 455 though. WhT might attract me to that would be the ability to switch barrels for different calibers.

Yes the action (model 64) is made by Anshutz (weatherby stock and branding) and no sadly they don't make any lefty ones...to the best of my knowledge.
