Last weekend I was archery hunting in the mountains in 402 and the elk were up high. Does anyone have insights into whether this snowfall will push the elk lower or should I head back to the high country?
Elk are just slightly smaller than horses and horses can carry a man. This snow should be no problem for them. In fact, I would bet they just shake it off before it has a chance to accumulate.

I think they come down for easier feed not bc they don't like snow on their back lol. There is no running from that in alberta.
Will elk be pushed down because of this snow?
