Exclamation Bow Valley Campground fishing?

Hi!

Going on a 4 day camping trip this weekend to bow valley campground by Exshaw.

Maps: http://goo.gl/maps/MExRp

It's right beside the Bow river.

Quote:
from Pigeon Creek downstream to the first dam below Hwy 1X Bridge (near Seebe) including reservoir, & tributaries except the Kananaskis River – Open all year.
Apr. 1 to Mar. 31 – Brook Trout limit 2; Other trout limit 0; Mountain Whitefish limit 5 over 30 cm; Maggots are the only bait allowed and only in the river from Aug. 16 to Oct. 31.
I just want to make sure I'm clear on the regs. Where I'm going to be, 2 brook trout a day? Think this is the right part of the river.

Also, can anyone suggest a good bookie slaying method? I've never caught one.

Many thanks guys!

Used to camp there quite often, before the great AB reservation system. Anyways right at the campsite it is so,so. If you haven't fished much before I would suggest around the dam area (5 mins from campsite). There are fish but tough to catch. Put a fly on with some weight 10 -15 inches up or chuck some flys with fly rod much more fun.
