Default Cold Lake Fishing Tips?

I'll be going up to Cold Lake September on long weekend. This will be my first time fishing this lake and also my first time with the opportunity to catch lake trout.

I don't know alot about catching lake trout or Cold Lake in general. But these wont be all I am interested in catching. Im also interested in targeting perch, pike and walleye aswell. Does anyone have any suggestions for where or how to fish this lake?

I greatly appreciate any feedback and suggestions for how to make this trip a success (as anyone would).

We are there now. Water was pretty rough in the middle. We spent our time around the park peninsula catching pike. We found one nice walleye too. The time we spent chasing trout was pretty much a waste due to the high waves and cranky kids
