I have a fly rod with both sinking and floating setup, but the rest of the family will be using spinning rods. I do have a portable fish finder but I can't bring my boat but I could probably rent a canoe for the weekend. Any advice is welcomed.

here is what I would do .. just for the first time rent a guide.. then i would rent what I need from them or elsewhere as Malinge Lake boat house also rents(boat, canoe, battries, etc) and guides

we try to stay 20 to 35 fow sinking fly line with a fly /streamer and spinning set up is a Shad Rap #5 about 100 ft out or a Williams Worbbler with a fly 16 inches behind

as always this is

Food for Thought
