Windows Updates Super Slow

I trying to re-install Win 7 on my laptop but noticed that when trying to do the Windows Updates, it's super slow in downloading them. Takes forever to download for example 7 updates at 91MB this took about 1/2hr. Anyone noticed this the last few days? Is it possible that the MS servers are down or overloaded?
