Default River Fishing

If you can keep the goldeye and the crayfish off. The walleye are biting.[IMG]https://uploads.tapatalk-

You do need a jetboat too get to these spots. Probably the first time this year these fish have seen a lure.

It's getting better. Anyone that's caught a big river pike knows how they fight. This 40 1/2" pike was crazy. The 30" walleye eludes us but the number of 24" to 28"walleye makes up for it.

Fall is the time to get off the lakes and start fishing the major rivers. Especially for big walleye.

So true , I can't wait to get out on the Athabasca again , in and around Fort Assiniboine you just can't get any better fall fishing

Default River fishing in the fall

I agree gentlemen the rivers are absolutely stacked with Walleye this time of year.

Be sure to tune into Timid's next video, me and him put the absolute smack down on fall walleye, in both lakes AND rivers!

PS: Nice fish OP!

Just can't quite hit that magic 30". But this 29 1/2" will do.

Awesome fish. Tough to beat fishing on a river when the fish are there and biting! The sound of the water, the constant movement... Goes hand in hand with a beverage on a nice sunny day.

I use the same style measuring box only made from a length of plastic eavestrough with one end open. I wet it first before measuring and if the fish are not in the slot I simply lift it onto the gunwale and slowly tilt until the fish slides back into the water.
