Default Wabamun walleye

We fished Fallis all weekend and it was pretty slow. Lots of pike on sat between 5-8 lbs. One at 9 and one at 13 lbs. we also managed to catch 3 small walleye. Sunday was very slow but the guy next to us caught 2 pretty big perch. Kinda neat!!

Those are bigger then the ones I saw caught this summer so they are growing. Would be great if they can take hold and we can get another good walleye fishery here in Ab. Too bad if it were ever to be opened it would be by the tag system...

We got off ok. A couple 8" ruts near shore. These next few days of cold weather will help tighten up the ice. I'd say 1/2 ton - small size truck shouldn't have a prob out there through till the end of the season. My wife and kids met me out there Saturday and had no prob with her 4 wd Toyota matrix to do some fishing and launch some hobby rockets.
