Default Campground at Snipe Lake.

Good day,
I know this lake always draws controversy on here, but here is my question. How is the quality campground on the south side of the lake?We would be tenting it.
Just the campground is all I am asking about. It's a 3 hour drive for us, so any info is appreciated.
Thanx in advance,
Ken

Default Looks good

We were fishing up there a year ago in March and had the occasion to enter the lake from their campground. Looks pretty good and they have done a lot of work on it. Give them a call and check out their prices, availability, and camping options. BEL

I camped on the south side a number of years ago, and it was just fine in a tent. I can't imagine it has changed alot since then.

Uh, just to be clear, the campground on the SOUTH side is a privatly owned, fairly new campground. Think its only been operating for two or so years.

The one on the NORTH side is an MD campground, and very nice, small, well kept.

Well, that could very well be a new campground, cause I definitely stayed at the one on the south side, and it was WAY more than 2 or so years ago. It may very well have been private, but I seem to recall it having the little brown pay box like the other provincial campgrounds I've stayed at...

Default Snipe Lake

Is there still 2 campgrounds here? What about boat launch? Are they decent, Heading out next week for a couple of days. Any updates are appreciated.

Thanks all

North side campground is nice, boat launch is m'eh...ok. Shallow spots at the docks with hidden rocks and concrete ready to eat a prop if you're not careful. Access from the lease road that wraps around the North side of the lake can be inaccessible at times of the year, I dont bother with it anymore and just come in from the North on RR 183. Cant speak on South access
