Carvel is located 50km west of Edmonton along highway 16. If your also asking where Nakamun Lake is, it's just northwest of Mornville. Mornville being about 30km northwest of Edmonton.

Looking for 2 things.

1. Someone in the Edmonton that knows fly fishing.
I want to learn the techniques and streams around here and west.
I've never fly fished before.

2. Boating/Conoe/Kayak partner.
I like going for day trips down small creeks and rivers.

PM me, Thanks

Hello, I just signed up to this forum. I'm 22 from Ontario so I haven't fished Alberta much. I live in Edmonton and don't have a vehicle. The last few weeks I've tried fishing the North Saskatchewan river with no luck. I'm good company and love to fish. By replying to this thread I'm hoping someone will contact me to go fishing. Again I have no vehicle so I'll probably just inconvenience people and understand this might not work, so if anyone has advice on fishing the river within city limits I'd be very appreciative. Please keep in mind I live downtown so hot spots near Jasper would be ideal thanks for your time!

Tight lines!

I'm a 23 year old student living close to downtown Calgary, right beside the Bow. I'd like to try some fishing this year, but I don't have any idea where to start. Anyone got any tips, or mind a tag along?

Default Invermere bass !

Heading out to invermere tomorrow !

Was out last week on Sunday and got into a mess of largies . The bite is only get better as the fish move up to spawn. Water temp was about 45 - 50 and this week should be well into the mid 40's again maybe mid 50s. The fish are running in schools so its pretty exciting when you locate the schools.

The water level is lower but manageable.

If anyone is interested in heading out pm me , we can exchange info ...

Invermere is 3 hours west of calgary . Anyone coming out , i'll point you to some fish if you haven't fished buckets before !
