Default Tiger's apology

So what did you think? I think it was a little late. Also he said he plays by the same rules as everyone so why doesn't he answer any questions?? I know it is really none of our business but when he has made as much money off of us the public, consumer etc then it becomes our business. Plus I like to hear the gossip!!

What are your thoughts?

He is a freakin' person and has the right just as you and I to screw up his home life without the public creating even more of a BS media frenzy out of it. Let the guy do what he does for us public folk and get back to playing golf so we can continue to enjoy watching his amazing abilities. The media is such a joke nowadays and has made a laughing stock of America with it's "NEWS" or gossip as it actually is, what ever happened to real news? Oh I forgot it doesn't sell.

Lets face it this kind of thing happens more then you would like to think. Because he spends his life in the camera makes this thing a big deal. In no way do I agree with it but it is his life not the worlds. Let it rest he is only human.

why does tiger woods have to apologize to anyone other than his family. if i were him i wouldnt talk about anything publicly. let everyone dream up what ever they want. if i were a billionaire playboy i wouldnt give 2 sh!ts what anyone thought. and id be a hell of alot more of a man-***** than tiger could in his dreams. i probably wouldnt get much golfing in.

He likely just wants to get back to playing golf.

Did his wife give him back his balls yet?

And perhaps his sponsors. That's pretty much it. He doesn't owe me anything. Never took him for a role model before, don't now.

He has to apologize to more than his family because he has or had endorsements that were solely based on him being a good decent family man and role model. He also has childrens foundations that teach adolescents the basics of right and wrong and living life truthfully and honourably. Thats why an apology is owed to more than just his family. Be a man***** all you want. But do it without being married or having children.

really? what endorsements does tiger woods have that are based on him being a good decent family man?

im gonna go out on a limb here and guess that they're sponsorships for his golfing career.

his foundation is a PR facade. it looks good on him. just like he used to look good for gilette and nike.

i imagine your an adult, so dont act so naive.

+1. The sponsorships were because Nike/Gillette wanted the best looking/playing sportsman advertising their product. It brings out the "hey,-if-I-wear/use-their-product,-I'll-be-more like-him" (aka envy-purchase) in a person.

exactly, nike couldnt give a f_ _k less if the guy screws the entire playboy masion, as long as he looks good for them and brings in big money. i doubt nike or gillette would sponsor anyone because they were a good decent family man. if that were the case bob sagat from full house would be the nike poster boy.

Tiger's problem is that he created this false BRAND IMAGE.
Family man, good looking talented minority, world's best golfer.
The sponsors and other stakeholders "bought" that brand image.
When you create a brand image EVERYTHING you do must support that brand image.
Walmart doesn't claim to have the best quality, they claim "Everyday low prices" (different than THE lowest price).
Tim Horton's Brand Image is good fresh coffee.

Tiger (or Cheetah) wasn't living a life that supportrd his Brand Image.
He misrepresented himself with those photo ops of him and the family, complete with dog. He did that to garner greater support from sponsors and other stakeholders. He was living a lie.
If he had represented himself honestly as a good golfer and great playboy (which appears true) nobody would be crapping on him today.

"If a man cheats on his family he'll cheat anywhere on anything".

Tiger's challenge now is to create a new brand image of himself that is honest and get back to what originally made him famous..playing golf..

snore...zzzzzzzzzzzzzz, who cares.

Sorry couldn't resist I'm SSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOO sick of Tiger. Didn't care before, don't care now...

If we all didn't talk about this stuff, or buy all the tabloids we'd never hear about it...

Now if you're interested in his game, fine he's proud to make that public (as I would be if I had skills like that) his and other celeb's personal lives...SNORE.

Given his heritage, would it be fair to call this a Black Thai affair?

Care to back this stupid ass blanket statement up? You think all the Canadian athletes are "well to do"? How wealthy is Emily Brydon, Jennifer Heil, Clara Hughes? I personally don't know either and don't really give a damn, I just enjoy watching my fellow Canadians participate against other athletes from around the globe in a competition that only occurs once every four years.

If you have a bone to pick with someone about the costs of putting on the Olympics the contact your friggin' MLA, then get a life ********.

As for Tiger Woods, no ones business except his wife's and her lawyers as far as I am concerned.

I caught a snippett on HLN this morning that said that some of his sponsorship contracts have morality clauses. Let's face it, a lot of his image is based on him at least appearing 'squeaky clean'

Tiger Woods is a Homo plain and simple. If golf is so great...how come you can't eat golf balls.
