Default Tanning a hide for the Leather

Hey everyone. So i going into leather working a while back and this year i have my Moose tag. Trying to figure out if its worth the effort in keeping the hide and getting it tanned for the leather.

Anyone ever done this?

Cut it up the belly if your going to do this as the leather on back is thicker.
