Tuesday's Presidential Debate

I don't follow American politics too closely, but I'm quite looking forward to the first Presidential Candidates debut on Tuesday.

Apparently Biden is ready. Couldn't agree with Jill more though, "One of the things I'm excited for is when the American people see Joe Biden up there on that stage....". This might be better than some comedies.

I'm still convinced Biden is going to be in an accident, get "Covid", have a technical issue, etc., and won't be able to attend the debut, but Jill seems hopeful at least.

My favorite recent Biden quote: "Instead of standing there and teaching a cop when there's an unarmed person comin' at 'em with a knife or something to shoot 'em in the leg instead of the heart is a very different thing".

Biden is a poor choice

If he loses, its almost an expectation

If he wins, he wont be able to keep up. He will be a figurehead, and other Dems will actually run the country

It's sad actually.

Just wait a couple weeks. There will be a big story about Biden banging some hooker or touching some chick or using drugs etc etc blah blah

If Biden gets elected it probably wouldn't be too long before he is deemed unfit for the presidency. Then Harris would slide in and become the first female (female of color) to become POTUS. And I agree with Osky, as do many of my family members in the USA. 330 million people, and these candidates are the best that we can come up with.

Then again, in Canada we have a population of nearly 40 million and look who we have. We both suck.

Biden 49 %, Trump 41 % apparently today. Allowing for statistical error and bias, that's close. Last time around, the polls had Hillary a definite winner and we know how that went.

The videos of Joe himself publicly bragging to groups about doing that, and claiming he did so with full approval of the last president are shocking. Naked graft at its best.
In this country the founders only error was not being able to see the future mass amounts of money and blatant greed for power and wealth thru politics. If they had they would have had term limits for everyone in government “service” top to bottom.
Instead they entrusted the media and specifically protected that profession so truth would be brought and common sense by the populace would prevail as the check and balance. They knew there would be some dishonesty and diversion in the ranks of informers but sadly they never envisioned how one sided and bastardized free speech could become nor the greed and lust for fame and power of reporters and publicists.

We still have an IRS in America enforcing over 6000 pages of tax code. If you think Trump or any other business owner at his level or anywhere near it knows All the minute details of what is in their tax returns I think your mistaken. Isn’t it the job of the IRS to expose and prosecute tax malfeasance?
Maybe uneducated media and public opinion would be better?
In this country for common people to apply for a job citizenship is asked, education accomplishment proof, proof of previous experience, and drug testing. I don’t care if your Trump, Biden, Clinton, Romney, whoever.. these are what matter.

Proof for both is what I would be after. I don't think there is a question regarding an audit. Maybe there is but I could care less if he took advantage of the tax system as that one is easy to flip back on career politicians. Completely agree with your proof statement. I think the question is, is he as successful as claims he is? What is he hiding? If he is then prove it and it all goes away.

Well. It may not have been in the news up there but a very young staffer was physically assaulted in one of the back hallways at Biden’s offices by Biden. She immediately came forward but was hushed. Recently she came forward and those that “ hushed “ her have verified it as well.
So no I would not have Biden around my 17 year old daughter if I had one.
So little moral integrity in any of them.
What I’d really like to hear from government in America is a giant flushing sound.
