not sure what your getting at tyler. if your referring to his bouncing balls then i'd suggest he stop playing with his bait. lol.
looking foreward to pics and stories when all the members get back. i rarely go out on weekends and never on a holiday weekend (too many amatuers and weekend warriors not too mention the highways) hope everyone stays safe. boat launch must be a zoo.

Enduro155 said he was heading to Athapap for 10 days , I simply gave him advice on the best way to catch fish there , chumming with and using sucker for bait. COMPLETELY LEGAL IN MANITOBA. Tyler must have thought the lake was in Alberta. AT least he knows the rules ! No foul. Heres some pics of the boy and his trout.

Awesome pics of your son, just doesn't get any better!

I tried a couple times to catch up to you on the lake Friday morning when you were out trolling but couldn't get quite close enough as fish kept hitting lol. then you took off a little later. maybe another time. Was in the 18' white starcraft.

Had an awesome time, fishing was great, biggest was 16 pounds, quite a few in the 9-16lb range but most 7lb range. I lost a behemoth actually when you passed me for the first time, he had me at a stand still for 15 minutes straight up and down and I couldn't budge him in 200ft of water, we were at a standstill, then he unhooked. I was sick to my stomach and Model12 who came out with me had to hear about it for the rest of the day All fish thereafter under 10lbs was referred to bait fish Had a hoot, already planning next trip.

Moved just past the point where we caught most of our fish. That first spot is generally better for us , thats where we got the 30 a couple of winters ago. There are big fish there as you found out !

TrophyPikeHunter and I are out here. Caught some lakers but both 10 lb fish measured in just at or a cm or two below the limit. Plenty of fish in the 5 to 10 lb range.

Found the elusive pike at cold. All dink sized little ones.

So far it's been fun anyways.

Should be out late Friday .......... depending on what time we get out we may not be on the water until Saturday am.

Thinking of maybe going over to Marie for some Pike/Walleyes in the afternoons or evenings ......... anyone had any luck there - neither of us have ever been to Marie.
There's no fish in Marie, none
It must have froze right to the bottom last year, don't waste your time there
Stay on cold lake, thats your best bet.

Went to Marie today. Never been there. Caught lots of walleye including a real nice keeper for each of us.

Then decided to find some pike. Only one nice sized and legal sized fish landed.

We were pleased with the results. It was a good day.

Well we just got back today and had a great weekend! The weather was perfect. The lake was calm all weekend which made for some great jigging action for the kids. My son managed one keeper laker. We also made a trip up the Martineau River. What a beautiful spot up there. I think next year i'll pack a tent and a cooler and spend the weekend on one of many nice sandy beaches!

tell me about it. We were there for two weeks and it was a gong show more often than not. To many people who have no clue how to back up a trailer or know when to get out of the way. There is noting like watching a guy pull up to the launch and block it while taking the tie downs off his boat. He then proceeds to block the launch with his boat in the water while his buddy parks the truck instead of pulling the boat to the other side of the pier so others than himself can launch or load.
