K- sitting at home doing nothing but chatting on here when I decided to just go fishing .. so where ? well Talbot is 30 minutes away .. ok I am all in .. left Hinton and heading to Jasper National Park .. got just past Folding mountain bungalows when hit the line to get into Park .. 4 Km from gate and it took 30 minutes to get to gate .. wow what a lot of vehicles in a line most ever...
Get to lake and start unloading when I notice a Dad and his 2 boys at their truck with fishing rods .. I asked how fishing was and Dad replied that he had got 1 Pike from shore on his fly rod.. Kale was heading along shore when I notice that he had a bobber on and a fly on his spin cast .. so I ask if they had a couple of hours for fishing ..Dad Shawn said that they did so I asked if he and the boys wanted to come with me and do some fly fishing for Lake Whitefish he said that they would love too ..
off we went.. we got there and wow no Lake Whites or not many so we looked around and Kale saw one jump up ahead of us so I pull over to where he saw the rise .. not much just one .. move ahead more and bingo !!! schools of Whites .. anchors out and fishing just got my rod out for Kale when a fish took it under .. missed that one .. gggheee .. oooppsss its under again .. missed that one .. I was trying to get rod ready for Karter .. Dads indicator went under too .. a miss ... then Kale is under and he is into his first lake Whitefish on a Fly rod .. after lots of coaching and a few thumbs getting in the way and getting busted by the runs when the reel handle hit his thumbs .. 30 minutes later .. its picture time ..
Made my day .. Kale was as exited as I have been when I was young ..
the next hit Kale had he set the hook and turned the White then pass the rod to his younger Bro Karter with no prompting wow I like that
Karter just started fighting his fish when he got it close to boat and it did one of there Epic runs .. and poof its off .. aahhhh well that's fishing ..next time Karter
They had been at a Hockey camp in Jasper and stopped to fish
