I believe the correct answer is either a murder of pike, or a good day

My dad used to refer to several Pike as; "A mess of jacks."

I refer to more then one, like so, " I done caught me a mess of fish today"

I don't figure I need to identify the species. Fish are Fish, especially after they get past my dentures.

I lost a very big Jacks today as I fished in 5 foot rollers on a steep pitch of teetering boulders more suited for spry chipmunk people.

Oh right,, plural.
