Default PLUZ clean ups?

Some of you folks remember how the public shooting range at Sibbald Flats was damaged by idiot shooters leaving a disgusting mess. Many of AO shooters/hunters helped with cleanups. Well, something similar could be done regarding the PLUZ we use. It would help the image of sportsmen in Alberta if something like this is done and demonstrated that as outdoors enthusiasts we are an ethical group. OHV users, hunters, fishermen and campers participating in a clean up. In Calgary area, the Ghost / Waiparous, Burnt Timber areas would be the best candidates. It would create an image that the granola munchin Econutz are not the only ones who care about the environment. I see a push by radicals to make the foothills a park some day and we need to demonstrate that not everything needs to be made into a park to be properly cared for. If a mod could give it a try, putting a sticky up and have someone co-ordinate it, we may have something to help our image. Thoughts?

Sounds like a good plan to me.

If someone organizes it myself and a few buddies would come aid in the clean up forsure.

If anyone has a large flat deck that has sides and is willing to donate their time and the truck, we would have a start. Is anyone working for SRD reading this site? Could the gov't get involved and make this official and recognize the clean up?
