Default Long Lake

Solid 10" of black ice at Long lake. 100 meters out, south east of the south boat launch. Quad tracks on the lake, we walked on.

Was at McGregor all day today, the ice is extremely sketchy near the rocks and only a few places to cross safely to the solid ice past the ice heave. It's only about 2 inches thick along the rocks and some places it's 2 inches of ice, then 2 inches of water and then another two inches of ice. If you make it out about 15 feet from the rocks past the heaves, its a good solid 5-6 inches.

It was melting all day today so unless it get's really cold at night, it's not going to thicken much.

Talked to a guy that was fishing there that talked to a CO who said that Little Bow boat launch is about 4 inches thick.

Ice was solid black ice. But 10" was the thickest I've seen. They trucked it down the center of the lake to the most southern part of the lake.
Shook my head as all three trucks passed by. Idiots would be a understatement.

Default Eagle

There's a large pressure ridge 300m south of the boat launch. Not in its usual spot by the corner. This is going to cause problems this winter so be aware. There is flood water on either side for 20 feet. It runs from tight to shore to the middle.

Black nugget lake today was 6" on average with the light snow cover hard pack. Busy place. Great day to be out though

About 1pm.
I started off at playground and moved south. There were two f150's that drove right on from the south launch, I shook my head cause they ripped past me and just about hit my girlfriends tip up

Ya, we tried by the south launch and then moved to the north launch, there was a bunch of you by the playground. Fishing was slow. I had wished I brought the side x side, not brave enough to drive a truck on yet, I guess someone was.

Chestermere was 7+ inches at south end yesterday. Got 3 small pike and 1 bigger one that I dropped in the hole before scaling. Whoops - rookie screw up.
