Default Cheap Trail Cameras

Hey folks,

The search function didn't return much, so I'd figure I'd ask.

Has anyone had any experience with cheaper trail cameras? I'm looking to buy 3 and any recomendations would be great.

I'm not looking for anything fancy, 40 foot range, not too concerned with battery life, enough resolution to get a good idea of what I'm looking at.

Crappy tire has one model on for 99 bucks, or should a spend a bit more?

Thanks

i bought three over the year when they were on sale, never spend more then 100 and Im happy with everyone.
Someone on here pointed me to Camofire.com -wildgame inovations.
Bought one there, got one in Alaska that was one sale -Primos work horse
and one at wholesale sports, a floor model. -Bushnell

Lined them all up on my front porch looking at the same thing and the Bushnell got the best pictures and most action.

Has anyone tried this camera yet?

Reviews from a variety of sites are fairly positive especially considering the price.

Go to the Moultrie website. They have internet specials sometimes that are really cheap.

I got my last 3 cams from dicks sporting good in the States. Wildgame innovations. They go on sale and the cost is $60 Canadian. They don't ship to Canada is the only issues so u need someone to pick you some up on the next trip down. Only 5 mp, 40 feet infrared and 60 foot day time range but i haven't had an issues yet.

Look for a sale. You get what you pay for. I've gotten a few for cheap where the IR is a huge blast of red light that scares off everything in sight. Check out camofire often you can get a good deal and shipping is cheap through them.

Your having the same issue as me, you can't figure out how to set the time and day either……… I'm not overly impressed with these cameras, i bought 4 total 2 packs, and only 2 of the 4 are working.

No of the 5 I bought I thought I programmed the dates and times into all of them. Apparantly I missed one. Was easy to set in the field. All 5 of the cameras perform flawlessly.

Oops see my one pic is not showing. Did some cleanup work on photobucket and must have changed something.

Morb, I am impressed you know where that tree is. It is on the big map i mailed you.

I have (or had) 7 cameras, but only six now after the bears got a hold of it.

I liked my Moultrie but I guess the bears did too. I use Wildgame trail gamers, Simmons Pro, Stealth Cams, I have one from Primos (not open yet) & a Wildgame camera not opened yet.

I just pick mine up from Canadian Tire & I got some in store specials on 2 cameras. Sometimes Walmart will clear out trail cameras that are regular $175 or something like that & I managed to get it for $50.00. Got a good tree $220 stand from Wally world for $100.

A camera can get stolen, or bears (like the cubs I got on video) use them as play things, or they could get plowed under when new well sites go up. So I do not like getting to pricey of a camera. This year I knew a mamma bear with three cubs moved into the area & so I hunt more cautiously. She hangs out only a few hundred yards from where I got my small buck yesterday. The cameras helped me to realize that there are bears in the area now.

I also like the awareness on knowing what is lurking in your area.

I "had" a WGI but can't comment on the performance as some ***** stole it off private land where I have sole permission before I seen a single pic.
