Default athabaska river q's

was heading to the athabaska river on sunday in the Athabaska area and was wondering if you can use an 18 foot boat in the river around there and where would I launch if I could..also if anyone has any heads up on spots for trout that would be great! Thanks all!

The river is very high here right now, but you should have no troubles with a 18' boat. There is a launch just east of Home hardware. However, the river front is all setup for River Rats, and I am not sure if you will be able to launch there this weekend.
