Good Boat Fishing

I just bought a 12" Boat with a small electric trolling motor, Im taking my Dad out fishing (his first time in 15 years) and would like to take him to a good trout lake. Any suggestions I was thinking Chain Lakes Mclean is to muddy, I dont mind driving a few hours. Thanks

Chain is a little slow right now but you'll still catch a few little guys. Trolling along the south shore with a willow leaf and worm/maggot seems to work pretty good.
