Default Tilley hat warranty

Anyone ever use the lifetime warranty on their tilley hat?
How did it work out for you?

Is that the one you broke 100 in at Edmonton?
An few ounces of #7.5 lead will cause some pretty bad fading...

No thank God I had my old straw hat on that day, doubts tilley would warranty that once it's full of holes

Had one since 1990 and it started getting frayed holes in it after being washed many times. They sent me a new one no issues. Even able to pick the size I needed. The only difference was the underside is green now where the original one was all white.

Tried to dry a hat out on a Coleman Lantern on low during a week of steady rain out salmon fishing.

Burned the nylon lining in the top of the hat and it was too scratchy to wear so I returned it to Tilley and it was replaced.

That hat was worn to fish the Dry Tortugas to Brabant Island Lodge. It was well worn out and then burned.

No questions asked replacement.

Maybe they simply didn't want to argue with a "hot head"?
Sorry, I just couldn't resist.....
