Brag Groups
Time to post some “brag” groups ... post’ em if you’ve got ‘em. Managed one this morning. Was tired of “OK” groups with my hunting rigs so screwed on a couple of heavier barrels chambered to 30BR and they didn’t disappoint. Small group in center was 5 shots @ 100M (no wind flags) measures a tad under 0.015.
Second (center) is with a different rifle and came in a tad under 0.23. Had a couple of extra holes on the second target courtesy of another shooter having difficulty getting on (his own) paper

That's absolutely brag worthy.
Amazing groups - can you tell us about your rifle? curious to see what you are shooting.
I am thrilled and dancing on air anytime my hunting rig ends up below 3/4 MOA with a 3 shot group. With 5 shots a under 1 MOA performance is a great day.

The two rifles I used today. Both with Barnard actions. Top rifle has action bedded into an old SAKO Varmint take-off stock, the bottom rig was bedded into a stock that I think (can’t recall for sure) was built by BC stock maker Paul Reiben. When I went to decide what barrels I would screw on, discovered that I have more than a dozen that fit on those actions.

Dang, good work.
Sorry about sending those fliers on to your target, just making sure I'm ready for hunting season...good to go.

Was that really you ... was like an AO Convention on the firing line this morning. Sitting Bull was the shooter with the monster lever action, Kujoseto was there with his brother. Pat from KS Arms was the shooter shooting a wildcat based on a 220 Swift. He had some pretty tiny groups.

I recently shot my best group ever, but failed to get a pic...it's been bothering me ever since. (Wasn't as good as the OP, WOW!)
Going to load up a few more and see if I can do it again.

Unfortunately because of Covid didn’t get to the range nearly as much as I like this summer. Picked up an LSA 55 .222 Rem last fall that so far looks very accurate...five shot groups just under 1/2” are pretty common... hopefully will be able to get serious next year and see what it can do.
If it comes anywhere close to what’s shown here Jim I’ll be ecstatic.

Well, I have nothing to brag about but I did see him shoot those groups. I could not believe my eyes. Had some good laughs and met some AO members. Could not ask for a better day.

Shot this recently while trying seating depth changes. Pretty good for a #2 contour barrel, sub 6.5 lb rifle and scope...details are on the target. This rifle has been amazing, must be because it is a lefty.

There were some really good 5 shot groups put tighter from 200 to 1,000 meters today in the Northern Steel challenge !
Lots that were 1/2 MOA or better 200 , 500 and 700!

Today was really fun at the range. As mentioned, it seemed like an outdoorsmen forum reunion.
Witnessed the groups, and the fliers from the other bench. Had us all laughing pretty good.
I haven’t measured them yet but here’s what I put together with my Tikka action in bell and Carlson stock with a Bob Jury barrel put together by Henry Rempel.
180gr Swift Scirocco in 30-06
The only 3 shots I’ve fired at 300m and it hit below the bottom cross while aiming at the top one on my page. Almost exactly where I’d expect for the ballistics... very pleased as this gun makes me look like a better shooter than I really am haha.

Today, came close to yesterday with the center group being 0.16. Hopefully the Range will not be so busy during the week as I want to see what some 10 shot groups at 300M look like.

Never thought I would ever post on threads like these. But I got one! I had a great day at the range today. About a year ago I purchased a brand new off the shelf Remlin 444 Marlin Lever action. Good trigger, good fit and finish. Shot it a bit last season and was happy with it. I have been working up a load for it this weekend and this is my results. The other 3 shots below was whith the Magneto speed attached .

I also have a friend who purchased the same rifle in 45-70 and it shoots MOA easily as well. So I have no issues with the new ones at all.

Great to hear your persistence paid off. Doesn’t get much sweeter than that with those big bangers.
Not surprised that the MagnetoSpeed moved those shots.

I shot 12 weeks of short range bench rest this summer for the first time, and I enjoyed it immensely! I've never spent so much time trying to refine a load, each week I shot 3 different loads, continually trying to improve. I also feel that my shooting technique improved considerably by the end.
Here's my target from the final week. 5 x 5-shot groups, all under 2.4", at 300m. I'm pretty happy with the results, especially considering the 15-20km winds. (It took me awhile to learn to wait for similar wind conditions before firing, that helps a lot!)
Rifle is a stock Tikka M55, heavy barrel .243.

Finally got around to measuring these. Put the three together for one pic.
Measured outside to outside then subtracted caliber for center-to-center. I think if I had more than 10x at 300 I could improve it.
But for a hunting rifle, 10x will be all I need for as far as I’d shoot

Stock Tikka T3X, out of the box, sighting it in. Can't wait to really work on some loads, but should probably quit now.......

This is an 8 round group at 100m with my .300 RUM pushing 215gr Berger Hybrids. It was supposed to be a 10 rounder but I chickened out thinking I’d mess it up for sure.

300m with my .257 Wby Vanguard pushing 115gr Berger VLD. Only upgrade to the rifle is a Timney. It shoots equally well with 115gr Ballistic Tips.

Limited with what’s on the phone here. Not my best group with this rifle and it was still during load development but 5 rounds from my 6.5x47 at 100m. 135gr Berger Classic Hunter.
