Default USA election...just over 2 months away...predictions???

Gotta say, I'm pretty interested in this upcoming election. I think it's gonna have some pretty huge ramifications for the states, never mind Canada. By any logical analysis I would say Romney wins in a huge landslide, but man the polls sure seem to show there is still lots of support for Obama. More than there should be that's for sure.

Just curious what everyone else thinks/hopes for the upcoming election south of the border.

Paul Ryan just gave a great boost for Romney.

Ryan also hunts and makes his own wild game sausage. My kind of guy.

Whoever wins isn't going to dig the americans out of the manure pile any time soon.

There's probably a blank picture frame on the wall somewhere with "Worst President Ever" under it.

Either way, i predict the pipeline will get the go ahead. Well obama wont need the votes, and the republicans wanted it in the first place. I figure first quarter 2013, it gets approval. I also feel there will be a bit of a battle on gun control if obama gets back in could get pretty serious.

I think I answered my own question with the screwed up country part.......

It looked kinda dozy until I learned more about Ryan and heard him talk. He is the next generation and he's a smart cookie. I wish there was a Ryan factory. He is everything Bush never understood and everything Obama hates. Perfect.

I thought Canadian voters were uninformed and ignorant when it came to voting, and a good number are, but I watched some interviews with the U.S. voters during the last campaign and all I could do was shake my head.

When I think about the possibility of Obama getting back in, I still shake my head.

America is such deep doodoo. I fear the worst. And I'm an optimist.

Almost to close to call. Obama is leading in the polls, but Romney is trending up, and leading in some of the important swing states.

If the Republicans can stop the idiotic explosions like "legitimate rape" that keeps steering the focus away from the economy, then that trend may continue. A lot has to do with GOTV. The people who came out last for Obama last time are not as motivated this time, and the Republicans will have a strong, strong GOTV movement on election night.

Obama is taking it down, once again to many whack jobs on the opposition. I mean what the heck is legitimate rape?

Unfortunately Obama, and on day 2 he takes a hard turn LEFT. No pipelines, carbon tax,gun control, etc. He can show his true colors as he has no need for re-election,his VP is too old to run and he gets to destroy any chances Hilary has.

Hopefully Romney. Obama and the media party will do everything to make the issues about legitimate rape, abortion, gays, race and what not because Obama sure can't run on his record. That sort of thing works, at least in Alberta.
I predict it will be the nastiest campaign we have ever seen in North American politics, and if Obama loses the ghettos will be in a riot.

This is what I don't understand. Thousands and thousands of people in the organization. One moron lets his mouth over ride his brain and people take that as the party is full of whack jobs and this moronic statement is now party policy.

what the heck was the policy before the moron tripped on his lip?

it ain't about policy or anything that would help them out of the hole they're in...it's cash, the idiot said if he could raise $100,000.00 in 24 hrs. he would stay in the race....guess what?...he did and he is....just not as good at hiding his intentions as others.....

Default obama

it'll be a classic democrat aka liberal " .... we'll take money from the rich and give to you in exchange for your vote" election.

Expect it'll be dirty - (Romney didn't really make that money on his own ( he's been stealing from the middle class and poor ).

If the US has to suffer through another 4 yrs or Obama - it's gonna be a BAD recession .... Canada will suffer BIGTIME ! (guess that's why Harper's trying to sign as many trade deals with other economies as he can .... )

Please - Oh God Please help the AMerican voters see the connections between Obama and the Muslim Brotherhood .... and his true intent to socialize "ruin" the country

TBD

If Obama wins, the U.S. will change in ways he never dreamt of. Secession will become live issues in some States. Hard times ahead, for sure.

There would be fallout up our way, too.

It is easy to complain in a recession. Everyone jumps on board and quick to blame. The challenge is to say that someone else could of done any better. The US is so stuck in the muck...between banking, out of control HMO's, crazy media bias, massive national debt, massive state debt, massive county debt and massive municipal debt...compounded with massive personal debt...they can only go back up.

Whoever is president when that happens will get credit without doing jack.

The blame rest solely on past administrations...not Obama IMHO. He is just a scape goat for people that want a miracle with no sacrifice.

Fix health care, fix the tax system, fix their foreign policy...then they have a chance. Obama is just a mild Liberal republican compared to our conservative politicians.
